skip your draws, gain life, skip triggered draw, so on and so forth until you don't have any mana left. Paying 1 mana per 5 life is pretty darn good.

If you didn't have a good hand at the time you did this you'd still wear your opponent down. Not bad.

It doesn't do anything to your opponent. It lets you gain life.

I think what Narcinek is trying (and failing) to say is that your opponent(s) will be depressed at the thought of you having so much life, and might scoop.

The only problem is you're in a lock for yourself. In other words, if you're gaining life to prevent your opponent from winning then you need to draw cards to keep up.

I still think it's a good combo, but would like something else that gives you life a turn to start the card draw cycle outside the phase (card draw) and once you have a life gainer you also get a card draw engine as well so that's all it needs to make it a knock out of the park.
