Oh come now, you can do better then JUST thornbite staff, Viridian longbow perhaps?

I Forgive your shortsightedness, Please compare Viridian Longbow with Thornbite staff's Ability, Why Steal 1 when you could Steal All.

Im not saying replace the staff, im saying add in the longbow, then its ultimately cheaper as you dont have to pay 2 for each creature....

Ok, Let me Explain the Combo as i fell you dont understand when you said Each Creature...

NecroSkitter equiped with Thornbite and Collar in short simplyfied term would say, Tap, Destroy target creature, whenever a creature goes into a graveyard from play (Battlefield) Untap Necroskitter.....

Wash rinse repeat until you own the board.....  you dont have to pay 2 to untap since necroskitter has deathtouch to kill the damaged recruit.

I want you to go re-read the staff again, it say's that you tap and deal 1 damage to target creature or player, but you ALSO need to pay 2 mana so that you can deal that 1 damage, thats why I'm saying add in the longbow, it keeps this artifact/black (instead of adding in a red ping enchantment) and you dont need to pay 2 mana to deal 1 damage, you can just tap because of the longbow, then you have the staff still on the creature so necroskitter still untaps

If that makes sense

The creature  has to have a -1/-1 counter for you to steal it.

ya so they are getting the -1/-1 counters, they are just dying at the same time!
