Simple combo, get both of them out in any order. Then watch as they scramble to think f how to win with only 1 elf in play HAHAHAHA. Play Hecatomb to really screw them over. post suggestions to aler or change for less mana, this is just a simple one i came up with last night. The trick is to make your deck not share any creature types such as many legendary or just  good assortment. Another good thing to do is play black blue get this out and have a bunch of clones in your deck. They play thier strongest creature then you clone to destroy both.

Hmmmm... I'm no expert, but I don't think Coat of Arms Designates a target.

it would to put on the +1 +1 counters no? since all the creatures are becoming a target from the coat of arms. and horobi is spell or ability.

Unfortunately, Coat of Arms has a global ability, which does not "target" any individual creatures. Doesn't work, sorry.

i like the idea and where you were planning to go wioth this, but as mentioned it doesn't work.  however, along the same lines if you pump them up with the coat and then add a meekstone.  you can lock them down.  especially if you pair it with exalted or low powered type changing creatures on your end, such as the mistforms

There are a lot of combos on this site that don't work. There's a very simple rule to tell if something will target a card... it will say the word 'target' on it. Nowhere on Coat of Arms does it say 'target', therefore it doesn't.

not that it matters but also they dont get +1/+1 counters they just get +1/+1
