I tested with damia and the mimeoplasm, with the main wincons being kessig cagebreakers, golgari grave-troll, splinterfright, laboratory maniac, and reanimating crap like vorinclex, lord of extinction, and jin-gitaxias! I thought damia would be good because of her dredge enabling ability, but i rarely got the mana to cast her, and when i did i needed more discard outlets! So im going with mimeoplasm right now!

Do you play/appreciate dredge?!

Most of the people at my playgroup hate it and have craploads of graveyard hate mainboard! D:

I think it's a really cool mechanic, but I only seen it once. It was back in Alara, and it was some weird pseudo-dredge.

Dredge decks are so much fun! In legacy its barely magic, since you play out of your graveyard, you avoid drawing cards, and you barely play lands! In vintage its just "im going to mull until i hit a bazaar of bagdhad"! Its not nearly as fun as legacy!

Your standard legacy dredge deck is:

Dredge:
4 golgari grave-troll
4 stinkweed imp
2-4 golgari thug

engine:
4 narcomoeba
4 bridge from below
2-4 ichorid

discard:
2-4 tireless tribe
2-4 putrid imp

discard+dredge
2-4 breakthrough
2-4 careful study (faithless looting may replace this when DKA is released, and that will go well with lions eye diamond builds!)

Lands:
2-4 cephalid coliseum
4 gemstone caverns
4 city of brass
(If youre running reverent silence in your sideboard against leyline of the void, you can use 2-4 tropical island!)

From the graveyard:
2-4 cabal therapy
2-4 dread return
1 sphinx of lost truths

winning:
1 flame-kin zealot
(Some dredge decks run other creatures to reanimate! Normally this is iona shield of emeria, terastodon, or woodfall primus! Of course you can always just reanimate your grave-troll!)

Others (Stuff that isnt in every build):
2-4 entomb (make sure you get a dredger in the yard)
2-4 street wraith (instant speed dredging and ichorid fuel)
2-4 lion's eye diamond (mana, and a yard full of dredgers, when running this, you typically lose a few lands and play deep analysis)
2-4 deep analysis (playable from the grave, and gives you dredge power)
4 leyline of the void (stops other grave decks and prevents your bridge from being destroyed)
2-4 chain of vapor (against grave hate)
2-4 bloodghast (these typically replace ichorids, and make undiscovered paradise quite good)
1-3 undiscovered paradise

Theres also sideboard options, but those are really various and meta dependant!

EDIT: That took a long time to type so youd better appreciate it!

This kind of dredge decks are very powerfull. In my playgroup we're doing mtg once a week with food and beer by alterante visiting each of us at home. The dredge deck had a high percentage of winning in turn 3, therefore it was less interesting sitting there and watching loosing the game. At the end the dredge deck player banned this deck by himself; now we are most often playing EDH since this is very funny and we see some cards we didn't see for years!-)

Yeah, legacy dredge typically wins turn 2-4, while vintage manaless ichorid typically wins turn 3-4, but it has more reliability!

Another good card to add would be Razormane Masticore.

Nope, not at all! It costs way too much mana (If youre at 5 youve already lost!), the damage is irrelevant, and the discard is too slow!

Some dredge deck use Elesh and Firestorm in sideboard for play against base-creature decks.
