Evoke chewer, then exile in resonse to the trigger!

Pay 1 red, get 6 of any color!

Also works well with mulldrifter!

I don't think this will work.

"Playing a creature by paying its evoke cost will result in two comes-into-play abilities: The sacrifice ability from evoke, and whatever other ability the creature has. The creature's controller chooses in what order to put them on the stack. Both abilities can be responded to as normal."

It works fine - the 'sac me' trigger from Evoke goes on the stack as normal and must wait to resolve. If you move the creature to another zone in response (e.g. bounce, flickering or saccing to another effect) it won't get sacrificed when the evoke trigger resolves.

I posted something similar a while back and it got shot down. . .

Does that mean you could sac Dreadnought in response?

You currently can sacrifice Phyrexian Dreadnought in response to it's trigger.

Your combo may have been shot down because at one point WOTC did some 'power-level' errata and changed Dreadnought to have a replacement 'if it would enter the battlefield' ability which stopped it entering play at all unless you sacrificed other creatures. The errata has subsequently been revoked though.
