You might as well run Celestial Convergence in a lifegain deck and win.

You might want to check your own combos for alternatives before suggesting them to others.

Meme
For someone who just posted 1 combo, which isn't even that good, what gives you the right to crit what someone else says.
Let me answer that its called freedom of speech. In an open forum people can post what they want. If someone else agrees or disagrees is illrelevant. There is nothing wrong with anyone posting alternatives, especially when the alternatives make sense, why draw when you can win.

@narcinek. I have to ask because of some changes I have seen, which I'm enjoying. Does a pool of water have an importance to your name? I might be over reading things but had to ask.

Personally I'd rather have 1 almost average combo than a bunch of trash which takes up valuable space on the internet.
In addition I didn't realize that it was a matter of seniority. Bad comments and combos should be subject to ridicule, my own are not excluded. Finally, freedom of speech has nothing to do with it. I never said he did not have the right to post anything. However, I do think that someone should be able to defend their own combos before suggesting ways they can improve others...

Also your logic is hypocritical. By your reasoing I can flame at Narcinek all i want and it doesn't matter if you agree or disagree...

I imagine this is for casual, but I know whenever I've run Repay in Kind in a deck, it's hard to generate the mana to play it (outside of EDH). Maybe this new set will provide some great new W or B mana generators.

Thats interesting....! Although i would never run a combo this bad in a real deck, i have a b/w edh and i frequently get upward of 20 mana! (No infinites!)

Gericault, basically, you're saying that we're allowed to have our own opinions, but only if they don't agree with yours.

I do think that someone should be able to defend their own combos before suggesting ways they can improve others...

But Narcinek can defend his combos, though not everyone agrees with the defense, so what happens then?

and what about you, shouldn't you beable to defend your combos before you try to improve others or also along those lines, shouldn't you beable to "prove" you know what your talking about before you insult and put down others ideas.

When is it decided what has been defended and what has been proven, and should that really matter.

Ultimately,  I think that advice of any shape from anybody should always be welcomed no matter where or who its from.  It's positive advice and constructive criticism that helps people grow and learn differant ways they can approach their combo and their game.  We all have different levels of the game, know different cards, why not take advantage of that.  All negative comments do is suppress people and force them to leave the site and as a result it growth stalls.

@ turbine and concerning the hypocrisy,  it doesn't matter what your opinion is or if I agree or don't agree, it only matters what the person who is being flamed or insulted preceives.  But I do believe that just because you can say something doesn't mean you should.  Negative comments and insults do nothing but keep things stale and we get the same crap posted over and over, because new people don't join, they are not encouraged enough to post, or they are insulted away.  Which I hate to say is the state that we are currently in, which is why we are getting she same old crap over and over.

You have been here awhile Turbine how many people have you seen come in, make a post, get flamed and put down, and then are never heard of again.  Every single person, if the ones who build the decks everyone else netdecks, was once a noob.  What they go on to do in the game is depended on how they are educated and treated when they are developing.

Aha, you agree that these combos DO look the same! That's all I really needed to hear. You made it seem like all the combos posted have been new and innovative.

The only person that I've ever been mad at was Mechy, because he kept posting the same thing! In the past, maybe I was more critical, but I've become less so.

Anyway, I try to be more optimistic about things now.

"But I do believe that just because you can say something doesn't mean you should"

By this same logic just becuase someone comes up with a lackluster combo doesn't mean that they should post it...

"and we get the same crap posted over and over, because new people don't join, they are not encouraged enough to post, or they are insulted away.  Which I hate to say is the state that we are currently in, which is why we are getting she same old crap over and over."

Since Narcinek post combos that have already been posted...
Doesn't the same thing results if I don't yell at him and make him quit
The only way out of this cycle is for him to learn from his mistakes

"But Narcinek can defend his combos, though not everyone agrees with the defense, so what happens then"

By "not everyone agrees" do you mean that you don't agree, because I don't see anyone else standing up to defend his combos. This should be the first sign that you are doing something wrong.

"I think that advice of any shape from anybody should always be welcomed no matter where or who its from.  It's positive advice and constructive criticism that helps people grow and learn differant ways they can approach their combo and their game."

This is a contradictory statement...
Go die in a fire is still advice and falls under the catagory of "advice of any shape" and it should be welcomed "no matter where or who its from"
However, it is neither positive or constructive.

In conclusion, I believe that people leaving this site isn't a bad thing if they are barely contributing in the first place.

Wow, what a great constructive pony! Why don't you post on another site?

You seem to not understand the website. There is no order. We change topics faster than an appropriate simile.

OMG! THAT'S IT I'M NIPPING THIS SHIT IN THE BUD BEFORE IT EVEN STARTS!!!!!!!!!!

FINE LISTEN UP EVERYPONY!

This is a website for building combos and herpes friendship. Posting a little criticism is okay, but take how others feel into consideration.

Secondly, How old are you guys? I know I act immature (mostly for shear comedy factor.) But getting mad doesn't solve anything.

Thirdly, we are a community! Albeit a very warped and twisted borderline-brony fringe community, we are still a community. We accept others for who they are.

Fourthly, originality? Seriously? Ever overhax God combo get's exploited through power hungry meta-gamers who will do ANYTHING for an edge. We should feel fortunate anyone bothers anymore. Less talking about what makes a combo GOOD!

Fifthly , this IS the internet...just let it go...Raging just leads to noone being able to post anything, because they are worried they will be accused of supporting the argument.

AND BEFORE YOU DARE ACCUSE ME OF SIDING WITH NARCINEK BECAUSE HE'S A FRIEND OF MINE, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!

I don't approve of anyone who posts insulting/condescending stuff, and I've even told Narcinek to his face when he was being an asshole about stuff.

I think he could have handled his suggestion a little more tactfully, but HELL at least he was trying to help the combo out!! (BTW Pinkie, I like the combo as is personally.)

And lastly...I apologize if you guys were just trolling around (If you were please accept my humblest apologies.), but please, I doubt any of us have any other mtg-related site that isn't a complete Flame Zone. (If you do kudos, you've found the exception).

Now let's sit back, let people have their creativity. Don't we hear enough about people's rights getting trampled in the media?

The internet is a fun place, as is all escapism. It doesn't matter whether you contribute anything useful or not, just show up. By being a part of this site, you help keep it alive. Whether it's a troll combo, a mediocre combo, or hell even coming up with creative topics helps keep things running (It's all I ever do on this site).

Sincerely Yours,     o<(^_^)>o

Jester You're comment reminds me of the idea I had of creating a second profile with Ghost-Lit Stalker as my avatar and Tomar Merchant of Suffering and pretty much be a hardcore cyber-bully to get revenge on some of the people on this site.

I even had a pitch I made up.

TOMAR MERCHANT OF SUFFERING

CAUSING PAIN AND BRINGING TEARS

HOW MIGHT I SCAR YOU TODAY!

Shhhh....if I spam them with annoying friendship speeches...maybe they'll stop arguing with each other and start trying to argue with me...which is like trying to argue with 2 jello shots and a Gamespot review....it's just impossible...like trying to nail water to a tank....

Plus...I really just wanted to say everypony...it's a fun word...
