just leave one of ur creatures untaped at the end of your turn and ull always be able to untap everything they however will only get to untap to permanets each turn.

He was talking about for a decklist. Unwinding Clock would help to nullify Static Orb.

With this you'll only be able untap 2 permanents during YOUR untap step. Make an artifact deck with this and throw in Unwinding Clock and you'll be able to untap your permanents during THEIR untap step.

I thought the point of the combo was to leave one creature untapped in order to tap the static orb so it would not affect you...

That was the point of THIS combo. Mechanist was expanding it to a deck list.

Assuming that Narcinek meant THIS combo when he said THIS, what he said would have been untrue. This leads me to believe that he didn't think this combo would work without the unwinding clock.

Can you follow my logic, or am I just crazy...

The point of the combo was to untap ALL your stuff during your untap step, not 2 permanents. Re-read the cards.

I agree it is upsetting everytime i read a post i feel scolded and Yes the Point was to leave one of ur creatures untaped so that u could tap the orb at the end of their turn and untap all ur cards no unwinding clock needed even in a deck i find it unwanted...
