i did the math and at the very least you\'ll get 5 +1/+1 counters on quag vampire
course that depends on how many swamps you have...but by \'the very least\' i mean with 5 swamps bc of magus\'s cost

im aware it doesnt work for mana in your mana pool.....
ok so you have 5 for magus's cost....so u use three to get 9 floating mana (1 to summon quag vampires, 8 to kick it four times) then tap remaining two and tap magus to give 5 more floating mana, 2 more counters and one leftover.... 7 +1/+1 counters and +2/+1 from nocturnus, and let the last floating mana deal one dmg to you at the end of the turn
10/9 at the least depending on how many swamps u have...miscalculated at first
