Read rules for Chains of Mephistopheles
If a player would draw a card except the first one they draw in each of their draw steps, that player discards a card instead. If the player discards a card this way, they draw a card. If the player doesn't discard a card this way, they mill a card.

More proof that combos have been deleted:

Library of Leng and Chain of Mephistopheles isn't in the database.

(Yes, I realize that this added a card)

I'm feeling you're right that combos and cards have gone missing.  Maybe there is only so much space on the database and when you add something has to go?

I wasn't the one to post that though. I wouldn't have bothered to even READ Chain of Mephistopheles if I hadn't seen it in a combo before.

I realize now that it was used with Anvil of Bogarden though.

you say that this is more proof combos have been deleted.

My question is where is the prove that combo was here?

I already said I was thinking about a different combo. Also, Twogun pretty much proved it by posting Channel/Fireball.

how did twogun prove it?

The orignal combo was black lotus, channel, fireball, which is in the database- without the lotus it was a turn 2-3 win not quite as impressive, therefore not quite as important.

but that is beside the point, if you type in channel on the seach cards and combos above-channel and fireball is the 2nd on the list posted by squillis, way before twogun did his.

Remember the linking to previous posted combos was added after you and I joined, there were a crap load of combos here before us.  Just like some cards in the different sets were missed, i think it is more of a possiblity some links were missed

Perhaps they were things you lists in posts rather then creating an actual combo, such as a change to some one elses post.  You still would remember writting it here but will not beable to find it.  and I write that from experience

Example: I remember posting this combo as a joke with many Slivers in it, Magma Sliver included. I was just doing some calculations to see how much damage you could do. I just looked up Magma Sliver though, and couldn't find the combo.

Just because you couldn't find it doesn't mean it was erased.

Another possibility is that magma sliver was never put into the combo therefore you can't find it, we can't always remember things we post with total clarity only pieces which we paint the whole picture, and sometime we make those pieces up
