this combo also requires back from the brink.

Start out with your general, mirror gallery, and back from the brink in play. use the altar to kill your general (any sacrifice altar will work) and use back from the brink to exile it and put a token of it into play. then return your general to the command zone and play it again. repeat the process until you have however many copies of your general that you want. in addition, if you have infinite mana, and are using grand arbiter augustin iv as your general, your spells cost an infinite less and your opponent's cost an infinite more.

Even though the one of Legendary rule is bypassed with Mirror Gallery you still can't violate the one of rule in Commander except for Relentless Rats decks.

I think you missed his mentioning of Back from the Brink in his explanation. It works, it's very nice.

So I guess this does work along with Xenograft and Evil Twin as far as copying your or there General. I checked the Official Rules for EDH website. I incorrectly thought that you couldn't do that and was wrong.

that's awesome! with an infinite number of azusa, lost but seeking on the battlefield you can infinite landfall (with simic growth chamber or the like). yes, i realize that you can't run blue in a deck with azusa, but still.

Just Imagine, Infinite Norin the Wary, except he couldn't have Back From the Brink in his deck... n/m

Hmm....
Norin, mycosynth lattice, mirror gallery, scupting steel, mirrorworks! Thats 3 copies! You could throw in umbilicus/blood clock to keep bouncing, replaying, and copying the steel!

Nah...Sakashima the Imposter is just fine. He's cheaper, but comes in blue.

Or if you're already using Mirror Gallery...why not use Followed Footsteps on your general?

Protecting it all will be a real bitch though. Another reason why Sakashima is better; it's just one guy (so either greaves, helm, or boots will do).

you can copy a general as many times as you like if you have mirror gallery in play, as it clearly states that the legend rule doesnt apply
