Throw down Chameleon Colossus and enchant it with Mark of Sakiko. That's the easy part.

Here's the hard part—get the Colossus to score one clean hit for full damage to the enemy (a Whispersilk Cloak will do nicely) and watch events just snowball out of control. Assume the opponent has truly infinite life for a moment... if you're able to keep hitting the opponent with the full strength of the Chameleon Colossus, expect its power to rise on this sort of scale:
4 / 4 → 8 / 8 → 32 / 32 → 8192 / 8192 → 2.647×10620 / 2.647×10620

So don't get the Chameleon Colossus angry—you won't like him when he's angry.

I'm a firm believer in the wisdom that "there is no such thing as unnecessary; only unwieldy"...

Why whittle arrows from tree branches when you can just swing the tree's trunk at someone?

I don't see it. You get the mana after damage is dealt so even if you pay in responce it has to be after damage is dealt.

i'm with dan, once it's dealt damage it doesn't deal it again so the most your going to get out of it is 1 +x/x. Unless you play a card that gives you an extra combat phase of coarse. Since combat damage kinda "sits" to allow fast effects to resolve you could use this to keep you colossus alive if it took lethal damage but i fail to see how this will allow it to do more damage.

i see it, though i'm very disappointed to say it. You could always throw in a relentless assault for some extra damage and mana though.

Did you just say. . ."unnecessary"?
Get off this site!

Not really, but there's no such thing as unnecessary.

a more appropriate word would have been impressive. your right, there is no such thing as unnecessary, at least as far as magic is concerned.

Tch... it's always got to be instant results for you, doesn't it? Doesn't matter that you get there, you gotta get there right now. It was honestly a hard decision for me to not add something like Spellbinder and Savage Beating 'cause I've written up too many of those types of combos already, but apparently, that was a bit of a mistake on my part. In fact, I thought it could have gone without saying at all... but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

That bit at the end there? Totally not heavily-laden sarcasm or underlying cynicism at all, so don't look too deep into it.

Why would you be happy to be proven wrong?

double strike is fun. also, omnath, additional combat phases, more turns, or the actual sakiko (mother of summer) could work nicely. sakiko needs to be run in more bloodthirst decks.
