Have tri do 2 damage to something, then 1 to itself, it dies, returns with 3 counters!

A good way to get around that is to add in something like Skullclamp, so you can draw cards too out of it. Or you could add in Heartless Summoning if you just want to get it off quicker.

i think that heartless summoning would work the best to get around the +2/+2 b/c the -1/-1 given by the summoning is not a -1/-1 counter but just a change in power/toughness so its more like the triskellion is a 1/1, then a 3/3 from the scythe, then a 2/2 with the summoning but still has the 3 +1/+1 counters. so you would just need to deal 1 to opponent and 2 to yourself. this way it still works and it makes triskellion cheaper to cast as theCaptain said.

I'm with Paladin of Lim Dal right now, adding in any repeatable sac. outlet would work the best.
