you forgot donate so you can give prismatic omen to them because it only works for you if you control it otherwise your just locken yourself down.

i will say though that it is a nice combo :)

there are ways to get out of it, but few decks can

They can play more lands. Try Vedalken Mastermind. Stops counterspells and them from playing more lands.
