Have sangywangy out, then play purge, targeting whatever! When it destroys the creatures, you get your life back! Throw in sanguine bond to hurt your opponent!

my question is, does the purge's effect kill one at a time or do the creatures die simultaneously?

The amount of life you pay has to be 1 above your life total, your life has to be 1 above 0!

so long as you have 4 or more life, you can wipe the board clean. . .

Nope, you pay three life as a cost for additional targets, the spell only resolves once, and the creatures all die at once!
