This combo does indeed work wonders. If Darksteel relic and Blightsteel are the only two artifacts in your deck, then the deck works prfectly. Bring out Trinket Mage for Darksteel Relic and right after Shape Anew. From zero to hero, from dusk till dawn and from darksteel to blightsteel.

The problem is that you might draw out another Relic and the less Relics you have, the harder it is to pull out one.

True, but you run 3 relic's and 4 trinket mages and 4 blightsteels. That's seven cards that will work which is as close to perfect as you can get. When you play the first relic, that leave 2 relics and 4 blightsteels. Odds favor a big baddy.

get rid of the relic and use inkmoth nexus. you dont want any other artifacts in this deck it ruins the chance of a blightsteel.

You don't need anything else. And additionally you canmill the darksteel relics out with more trinket mages.

So. . .what other ways could you get out the Colossus other than Tinker and Shape Anew in case you can't draw those cards?

The problem with only running one of each is you leave urself open to remove from game effects. STP's, oblivion rings, etc. What's ur end game w/o those cards then? I'm sure you can come up with something and i'm really not that interested. I just wanted to point out the cause and effect. We have really ventured into deck building theory instead of a combo. (ahem) I may be a little responsible for that. (cough)

1: Guys, you dont appear to be noticing that this combo is supposed to be standard!

2: The combo is decent, but you shouldnt be running 3 darksteel, you should be running 1 darksteel 2 blightsteels and 4 trinkets!

3: Krowbars suggestions were the best! You want stuff like masters call and inkmoth!

4: If this were going to be a non-standard combo it would be better off as noncreature token producering spells and polymorphing into emrakul or progenitus!

5: The combo as it is, is decent!

Thank you Pink pie realizing that this combo is indeed standard, and meant for standard format.

Yes, simply stating you owuld have multiple blight steels and the trinket mages can mill out Darksteel relic faster than you think with a dedicated blue deck. However it was more of a combo for pleasure.
