Pretty self-explanatory—equip the Spellbinder (exiling Ebonblade Reaper.

When the Reaper attacks the opponent, it'll do one damage... then the Reaper's ability will trigger... then the Spike's ability will trigger... then the Spellbinder will cast the instant for free. (In math terms, 19 ÷ 2 = 4 - 4 = <span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;" bold;"="">0.)

EDIT: Turns out the Spellbinder's not even needed! As long as you're running a mono-black deck, you can just exile two cards in your hand and cast it!

both half life cards round up. So they would be at 1, not 0.
20-1=19/2=8.5 + rd up=9/2=4.5+ rd up=5-4=1

...go back to your remedial math class, rav.

Nineteen (19) divided by two (2) is nine-and-a-half (9½). That rounds up to ten (10). The opponent loses ten life when the Reaper's ability procs, not nine... then five more with the Spike... then you come in for the kill with Soul Spike.

And just so this gets through to you, read the rulings on Quietus Spike circa 6/5/2010:
In a Two-Headed Giant game, if a creature equipped with Quietus Spike would assign combat damage to the defending team, its damage is assigned to only one of the defending players. After combat damage is dealt, Quietus Spike looks at that player's life total (which is the same as the team's life total) when determining how much life the team will lose, which basically means the team's life total is halved. Here's an example of the math: The team has 19 life, so the player has 19 life. Quietus Spike causes the team to lose 10 life (19 divided by 2, rounded up). The team's life total becomes 9 (19 minus 10).
WotC agrees with me here, buddy.

opps, my bad.

Pss. this is what i'm talking about. Stop being an ass. I was wrong . no big deal. IT happens.

It's the life loss that's round up, not the life total. That was all you had to say. My bad, I read the card(s) wrong. Note, also, i didnt slam your combo, nor was i rude, i just questions the math.

SO GROW UP AND STOP BEING A JACK@$$. i was wrong my bad.
