Isand is Civilized Scholar

"{T}: Draw a card, then discard a card. If a creature card is discarded this way, untap Civilized Scholar, then transform it."

Have the Scholar in the yard. Tap to draw, then ditch a creature. Since the Ooze can't transform, he just untaps. Do this to cycle through a bunch of cards to hit your reanimation spell. Also helps give the Ooze a lot more abilities.

I actually have a deck that focuses on this combo to set up its other combos. Another great Necrotic Ooze Combo, not sure if someone posted it is adding in Lord of Lineage, Grimgrin CorpseBorn, and Trespassing Souleater. It essentially makes for an infinite-infinite unblockable ooze.
