however very unlikely, if you got these, it's a first turn win in old standard.

Saying a first-turn win is unlikely is like saying pizza is delicious... although, pizza could be made better if you used two deep-dish pizzas as cookie crusts and filled the gap between them with perfectly-cooked ground beef and hamburger toppings... like some sort of meat-'n'-cheese Double Stuf Oreos...

...what were we talking about again?

Is there such a thing as a "likely" 1st turn win?

I consider a god hand to be 7 cards. not all first turn wins are 7 cards.

Swamp, Black Lotus, Dark Ritual, Grindstone, Painter's Servant. . . would be the easiest hand I can think of.

not all first turn wins are unlikely ;)

all the leylines in a deck + opalecense +  serra's sanctum + serum powder's in your deck to mulligan several times so that you get more leylines out, since theyre ALL technically "opening hands" ,

so that you start the game with a bunch of enchantments,
so you play serra's sanctum, tap for a buncha white mana to play opalesence,
then you can attack with a buncha creatures for lethal since they BECAME creatures therefore dont have summoning sickness. ;)

this combo is COMPLETELY likely, and can happen almost any time :) ,
the only thing that could really stop it is a force of will,
and even then, you can just cast another opalecense since you would have taken out a big chunk of your deck from mulliganing + playing leylines - therefore the likeliness of drawing another opalesence is HIGH :)

@morbid would that work? you muligan before the game starts, so you couldn't play the leylines right?

Doesnt work! Once you play Leyline of the Void from your opening hand, you've accepted your hand and you cant mull anymore!

EDIT: Ruling:

103.5. Once all players have kept their opening hands, if any cards in the starting player's hand allow that player to begin the game with those cards on the battlefield, he or she may put any or all of them onto the battlefield. Then each other player in turn order may do the same.

Morbids combo does work
By way of ruling PInkiepie posted after you take as many muliigans you want, the leylines are put into play,
Stated in ruling by ONCE ALL PLAYERS HAVE KEPT THEIR OPENING HANDS

but keeping your opening hand, does that not mean that one cannot mulligan further? also, if you keep mulliganing and playing leylines, wouldnt you eventually draw 0 cards even by the mulligan?

From Gatherer:

8/15/2010 Your "opening hand" is the hand of cards you decide to start the game with after taking any mulligans.
8/15/2010 After all players have decided not to take any more mulligans, if the starting player has any Leylines in his or her hand, he or she may put any or all of them onto the battlefield. Then each other player in turn order may do the same.

@Blade

Youre saying that the combo works, but emphasizing the exact part of the ruling that says that the combo doesnt work! Your opening hand is the one you have after youre finished mulling! Serum powder says "Anytime you could mulligan"! When you put the leylines into play you cant mulligan!

Okay, let me settle this once and for all with a quote straight from the WotC's Magic: The Gathering Rules PDF:

At the beginning of a Magic game, you draw the top seven cards of your library. That’s your starting hand. If you don’t like your starting hand of cards for any reason, you can mulligan. When you mulligan, your hand is shuffled into your library and you draw a new hand of one fewer cards. You can mulligan as many times as you want, but you draw one fewer card each time. When both players like their opening hands, you start playing.

So Pinkie is correct—whether it's a Leyline card or a basic land, the minute it goes out onto the battlefield, you have accepted your opening hand and you cannot mulligan further.

What he said! Do you really think people would play turn 3 wins like ichorid, eggs, and storm if this worked?

it would of all been easier if you just read the card. Its opening, not starting. difference is starting hand is the first set of cards you get and the time to decide to mulligan, once decided it becomes opening hand.
