when used properly in a vamp deck with control (Urge to feed, tendrils, etc) its pretty simple to pull off.  swing with demon till they are at 0, then cast a kicked gatekeeper, targeting yourself and saccing the demon

A very expensive and unnecessary combo. I do not understand why people even use Abyssal Persecutor.

Probably because it's 4 mana for a 6/6 flying beatstick with a negligible drawback in the right deck.

Though I would use Carrion Feeders and Vampire Aristocrat to sacrifice the Demon instead of kicking a Gatekeeper.

I would just use Spawning Pit for any 'sac' needs...
