i think this works because i believe the sol ring hits the graveyard as a creature if you made it one and then becomes a regular artifact.

basically have karn and station out. Play sol ring and tap it to provide one mana to do karns ability and one left over mana. Then have any sac engine like grimgrin (for a recent one) and then sac the ring, return the ring with the station and tap the ring again to make it a creature and have one left over mana. Since the ring hits the graveyard (i think) you untap the station. Repeat. Spend the mana however you choose, and use any sac engine you want.

I don't know who that is either. . .

I would think that you can't resurrect it until it is actually in the graveyard, by which time it isn't a creature. I'm not sure though.

You might need to do one of two things to make this work:
• Scrap Karn, and swap in March of the Machines which makes Sol Ring a creature upon entry; or
• add a Dross Scorpion to the combo so that the Salvaging Station untaps after the Sol Ring gets sac'd.

This combo works. It's a creature when it hits the graveyard and it's not once it's in the graveyard.

Has no one seen the 80's movie, Red Dawn?! C. Thomas Howell was the 'traitor' in the group, as well as the mayor's son.

I'm jumping on the "No" side. IMO, it's a creature as long as its in the "battlefield zone" the second it leaves the zone it becomes a regular artifact again before it hits the graveyard. If you used that instant the removes a creature from play and puts its back into play it would come back as an artifact, not a creature. As i understand it; When ever something leaves a zone, it reverts to a new copy of the card when it enters the next zone and loses all modifications, changes, targeting affects, or counters to/on that card unless otherwise stated somewhere. Dross scorpion would make it work for sure.

C. Thomas Howell did not play the traitor. The traitor was a character named Darren Dalton played by an actor named Daryl Bates.

I apologize for my mis-reference. You are indeed correct. It has been a while since I saw the movie (though I can still quote most of it), and I am so very horrible with names and faces.

I need to learn to edit posts.

We were both wrong - Darren Dalton was the Actor, who played Daryl Bates, the Mayor's son, not the other way around.

its a yes it does work, its a artifact creature going into the grave which triggers the station to untap, and since creatures dont exist in the grave it can't be one in the grave so its a non creature artifact card while in the yard allowing it to be a target of the station while in the grave.

I misread the cards. I thought that you were bringing it back as a creature, not as a non-creature.

i was going to do march but there is too many march combos and the fact that karn is an artifact allowing this to be done in any color deck.

Plus not to offend but, Red Dawn is a terrible movie. It saddens me that they are even remaking it.
