I frequently only have kokusho in a deck that I have spawning pit, but now that I've found followed footsteps!  Makes it a little more interesting... (don't know if this has been posted already, but sorry if it has)

It's pretty self explanitory.. but get Spawning Pit out, then Kokusho, then enchant Kokusho with Followed Footsteps. Each upkeep, sac the copied Kokusho and swing 5 dmg and gain 5 life every turn. (10 dmg & life gain if you can attack with the orig. Kokusho)

OR, just sac both to the pit and swing 10 dmg instantly.

**I don't feel like posting another combo with the same cards.. but:  sac Kokusho to the pit, then play zombify, and repeat.

Glad you explained it cause I was confused by what breeding pits was there for.

Unfortunatly what you are trying doesn't work, once the dragon copy enters play state based effects are checked, the game sees 2 legendarys and kills them both (doing the 20 life swing), since it is an SBE this is done before you can sac the copy to the pit.

But it will work fine with a non legend creature,

Crap.. was wondering about the "Legend Rule".  Oh well, attack w/Kokusho, then play Followed Footsteps = 5 dmg + 5 life.  Next upkeep 10 dmg + 10 life.

Maybe I will just stick to sac'ing Kokusho to the pit + eternal witness :)

thanks for clearing it up!

You could make it work by adding in Mirror Gallery to stop the Legend rule.

I like the concept of this combo, I may try to build it sometime :D

Yeah, Mirror Gallery is nice, but unless you put a playset of both it and Planar Portal in the deck (Enlightened Tutor if you swing black and white), you are not guaranteed this combo every time. Then again, nothing is perfect. I like this combo, though there is an easier version. Vampire + Dragon = WIN =D

Try this from my reanimation deck:

Buried Alive + Strands of Night + Kokusho = Win

I grab 3x Kokusho....and reanimate the first, swing with it on my next turn, then reanimate another, they both die, then reanimate them again lol  WIN!

Also works well in my Sneak Attack deck.

Tutor for a kokusho or 2, sneak one in, swing, sneak the other and deal 15 total (or wait another turn and just sneak/swing again lol
