Cumulative upkeep—Pay 2 life. (At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent, then sacrifice it unless you pay its upkeep cost for each age counter on it.) When this land enters, sacrifice a land. Creatures you control can't attack. Prevent all damage that would be dealt to you.

pretty simple.  you gotta play em both the same turn.  obviously don't run aggro.  i usually run mana barbs and orcish artillary to be a jerk.  cuz nobody likes losing to orcish artillary.  blue transmute and land tutors help get it out quick.

It might have. All of the combos were deleted at some point. There wasn't even Channel/Fireball.

Glacial Chasm is a great card that no one really uses. You can also use it with Eon Hub or Gibbering Descent, or anything else that gets rid of your upkeep.

Since you use Mana Barbs, a great card to go with it is Pendrell Mists. It forces each player to pay 1 colorless mana to keep their creatures. So either their creatures die or they get burned by Mana Barbs.

This stops them from attacking you, and Mana Barbs would stop them from building up an attack force, then killing you.

when you have Chasm out you can't attack...just one of many ways to still do damage.

thanks...nickname i got due to an incident involving alcohol....i can apparently sing a mean drunk Born in the USA.  but yeah throw in some whispersilks cloaks and counterspells...stop that mold from creepin all over yo chasm.
