Read rules for Chains of Mephistopheles
If a player would draw a card except the first one they draw in each of their draw steps, that player discards a card instead. If the player discards a card this way, they draw a card. If the player doesn't discard a card this way, they mill a card.

This is pretty easy to grasp, but here it goes anyway:
1) With Leyline of the Void, Howling Mine,  and Feldon's Cane out, cast Chains of Mephistopheles.
2) Whenever the Mine makes a person draw their 2nd card, the Chains force them to discard.
3) Your opponents' discards get exiled instead, and after a few rounds with this, you can sack the Cane to put your graveyard back into your library.

Anyone have any ideas to improve this one, rather than the obvious Megrim, Underworld Dreams sort of things?

Not really an improvement, more of personal preference on my part, but Elixir of Immortality is better than Feldon's Cane merely for the fact that it shuffles back into your library with the graveyard so you can pull it out an infinite number of times.

Though this inspires me to try something...

Darth you just getting into chains? There are a lot of ways to use it. My best suggestion in anvil of bogardan since everyones hand slowly dwindles to 0 and paired with some racks is deadly. Flashback, recurring creatures or noetic scales for a creatureless build. Don't focus on the draw with howling mine when using chains you need to focus on the lock and playing through it, put a playset of chains and anvil in a deck then try to get a deck that can play with no hand.

Me and my buddy have both been playing chains decks for about a decade so if you want ideas i'd be more than willing to help.

@Stevek - Not really just 'getting into' chains. I have played since alpha, and sometimes it's just nice to post a different combo or synergy rather than the obvious ones.
I realize the Anvil of Bogardan makes this a better lock and combo, but if you are creating a deck, why not have multiple combos that have synergy with each other, sort of a modular deck construction?
That way, you can count on at least (with my combo above) slowing the game until you get your anvil out.

The combos that I create are all a basis for at least a part of a deck, if not the winning condition. Also, If I have more than one combo that can be used with some of the same cards in a deck, it isn't just the 'same old' deck play every time.

I am sorry if I seemed a bit touchy, Steve. I did ask for improvements. Thank you for some of your ideas. I have skipped a couple of expansions here and there, and can't possibly know all of the cards in MTG.

I did actually consider racks and Racklings, and might even put them into a deck like this. I think I would probably consider such a deck to be like this:

4x Chains of Meph.
2x Leyline of the Void
4x Diabolic Tutor
4x Cabal Ritual
4x Dark Ritual
4x Elixir of Immortality
2x Emrakul
4x Rack
4x Rackling
4x Anvil of Bogardan
2x Howling Mine
2x Mind Twist
2x Damnation
2x Doomblade
16x Swamp

If you can think of anything to change in this, please let me know.
