To begin have all three creatures in plat then play then play the last soul warden take one gain one add a token the token causes the process to repeat but this time gain two. Endless life and creatures, but you can't stop it. Ideas for a fix?

Actually lose life and damage are two different things although the end result is the same (decreasing a player's life total), damage can be prevented while loss of life can't be prevented or redirected...

you can switch out wretched for a creature that does damage, such as lord of the pit, goblin artillery, etc.. Not as effective for what you were trying but still does a good job
