I don't think sacrificing the Devourer as part of its ability is same as sacrificing it for the sake of the Basal Sliver's bestowed ability. With the Sliver, it's a cost; with the Devourer, it's an effect... so I'm pretty sure you don't get any sort of chain here.

@Gregorius: As long Conspiracy is in play, the Nim is a silver that have the ability: '' sac for BB'' thanks to the Basal Silver.
So with this, an infinite engine is created: Sac the Nim for BB, return the Nim for BB, sac the Nim for BB, return the Nim.......
And because Pandemonium is in play, you can deal infinite damage to target player, since the Nim enter and reenter all the time in play.

Bitter ordeal could replace pandemonium, and would work better. . .

@ Torto: I may not have the same understanding as other people, but I'm saying that if you sacrifice a creature as the effect of an ability (which is forced upon you, see the Devourer's ability), it does not fulfill the cost of sacrificing a creature to generate mana (which you can choose to do whenever, see the Basal Sliver's ability).

It's like if you have a creature with two separate abilities that require it to be tapped; tapping that creature once won't activate both abilities. Or at least, that's my limited understanding.

I dont think this combo works.
You can sac the devourer for the 2 mana and then you pay the cost of its ability, then the effect would resolve and you would return him to play and then have sacrifice another creature before you are able to sac the devourer for the 2 black mana again.
Thats what i think.

I'm with gregorius on this one. Once an ability starts to resolve, it has to finish resolving before something else can be placed on the stack. So Nim is brought back into play, but then nothing can be done (like the basal-granted ability) until you sac a creature as a part of Nim's resurrection cost.

MAN.... you're right! Actually don't work. If the Nim was exchanged for example for a Reassembling Skeleton, this would work, but since the Nim have a sacrifice in the cost of return, this don't work.
I shoulda read better the card 8 )

Yeah you guys are right.  too be honest, I didn't read these very carefully.  u would need some way to get a token everytime.  I mean you could do it using intruder alarm and mana producers, but that's a little much I think/

sorry.  I guess I can't delete it/
