Starting with you, each player may pay any amount of life. Repeat this process until no one pays life. Each player creates a 1/1 black Rat creature token for each 1 life they paid this way.

play plague pay life down to one and switch life totals in response of the other person paying life and they have one life and you get there life

Yea, I think they're going to see this coming and you can't pay your life with the Plague and interrupt them paying their life as well. 

In other words, the Plague will have to go off and resolve, so your opponent sees you paying one or so forth and goes back and forth until no one pays life, so every time you pay, he pays.  You both would get to one.  You could pop it whenever, but it would go on the stack and when his time to pay for the Plague again then he would just pay up all life and you would have to do the same.  Then, and only then, would you switch life. 

In reality the combo doesn't have a way to get rid of his one life and remember, you can win with 1 life as long as your opponent has 0.

The problem is that he can kill you with a fast Lightning Bolt or something of the sort.

i guess this is true but it does force him to pay more life unless he wants me to have it, which then if were both at one im ok with that i can work around it.
