i say kind of cause you need to get it to be the last card in your library i posted a recent one where you can but there are many ways, find a way to make it the only card and you play it goes to library take a turn draw it play it again and you get infinite turns

there are a lot of better/easier ways to get infinite turns.  the simplest being time vault and voltaic key or aphetto alchemist.  but i use mimic vat, coretapper, and magistrate's scepter most often.

@ Dakkon

It's nice to find a new way to do things once in a while.

Yeah... the only way this is working—and I mean at all—is to play a card like Doomsday and reduce your own library to five cards out of your larger library and graveyard after the Magus and Divining Top are out. Then you have to put a bunch of dummy cards into your library... say, a few Islands, or some useless creatures, or a Sorcery that diminishes your library by exiling cards from it (for example, Mana Severance or Manipulate Fate are two good ones).

I will say this; it's innovative and it's imaginative, but it is the furthest thing from practicality for the set-up required and the amount of mana you'd have to pay for it. And if the Magus is your only creature on the field, you had best pray there are no blockers on the other side with 3+ power if you plan to attack (unless you have an Aura out that makes the Magus unblockable—Writ of Passage is good and cheap for just )...

...unless your plan is to bore your opponent into submission, in which case I commend you on your effort.

@Turbine,  I realize it's nice to find new ways, but this seems completely implausible to me. also, i think i remember someone posting an infinite turns combo by having the beacon be the only card before.

If I can't have my cake and eat it too, I've have to settle for just having it.

We can't always come up with amazing combos, so we have to settle for sub-par ones. It's certainly better than 7 card clusterfuck combos.

Like i said, i'm not complaining about him posting it.  i know i've posted things difficult to pull off. i'm really just pointing out it/s nearly impossible

again i'm an edh player so its a combo i have in my deck and btw i tend to win around turn 6 or 7 which in a big edh match that pretty decent, i can with all the transmute and other search cards.

i mean well you could also use the painters servant grindstone combo yourself if you have beacon on hand i guess maybe. something new, but if you put all sorts of ways to pull it off into one deck (edh) its fun and wins quite often
