I currently have a White Stacks deck for legacy that is pretty brutal, it shuts down Dredge, Fish, ANT and Reanimator pretty well. Countertop can put a hurt on it tho, and if i go AFTER Fish and they turn 1 a vial, im in a VERY bad position lol. but anyways, i use this combo in there... pretty simple idea.

During your Upkeep, put the events on the stack in this order:
Bottom of stack - add counter to Smokestack
Middle of Stack - Sac permanents = # counters on Smokestack
Top of stack - Make a Reflection Token

White Stax is a pretty reliable and well known legacy deck and if shutting down your opponents brutally seems like super fun to you, i suggest you look it and Blue Stax up...both are expensive tho, but worth the time and money! have fun

Its not super well known. Basically any token generator+smokestake was the core of the deck

Honestly I would proliferate Smokestack and run it in burn.

How will you deal with the sacrificing of your permanents though?

Have a token engine (preferably Ant Queen) and run it Red/Green.

How are you going to proliferate in Green/Red though? Contagion Engine?

No, you can use plaguemaw beast, volt charge, contagion clasp, or contagion engine!

why would you need to proliferate? just set it to 1 and its a slow grind. set it to 2, and there are PLENTY of ways to still make it work.

Mobilization
Old Elspeth
New Elspeth
Spirit Cairn
Etc..etc..etc..

@Turbine

I would also run Doubling Season with my proliferation.

Well, JMD pretty much summed up my argument. I didn't want to exploit the obvious weakness in your plan though, so I went for one of the more "subtle" ones.

people play different ways, decks do different things, 1 permanent loss a turn might not matter to some decks.

i myself agree with mechanist and prefer to go with the overkill, if your deck is built around it, dealing with the extra loss is childs play, staying in mono green if you proliferate mycoloth, for example, would create fodder at the same rate that the stax eats things away.  Giving you the edge
