1) Get both artifacts out on the field and equip umbral mantle to metalworker.
2) Make sure you have two or more artifacts in your hand.
3) Tap Metalworker to get four or more mana.
4) Untap Metalworker and pay three mana to get +2/+2 until end of turn
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have infinity colorless mana and a infinity/infinity vigilant creature. (Caution: Friendships may become broken after playing this combo...)

Metalworker rocks!! I'll have to put an umbral mantle in my arty deck... thanks for suggestion.

Metalworker is pretty sweet. I use him in a grixis artifact deck. Its good to tap him and reveal signets, then use the mana to play the signets and get colored mana out of it too.

When I first saw Metalworker, my thoughts were "Y U NO POWER NINE???"

Now, I realize why, but it's still an amazing card.

Also sword of the paruns is like a not as useful version of the mantle!
