Artifact Draw (more stack shenanigans)

With all in play, tap the top for its draw ability. In response to the ability sac the top to the ironworks for 2 mana. The tops ability resolves and you draw a card, but can't put it on your library because its no longer in play. Use one mana from Ironworks and one white mana from your lands to return the top to your hand, then play it again with the other mana generated from the Ironworks. Essentialls W:draw a card. Now thats how artifacts should be. The old Mirrodin was certianly better than this new one, It makes me sad that i stopped playing when the original Mirrodin came out.

Wouldn't you have to use the sacrifice ability first, so it resolves last?

like the pic turbine and i think so. except that then your sac would have an illegal target. hmm . . .

That doesn't make sense. If you used the sacrifice ability from the Ironworks you wouldn't be able to respond to it, because the cost (saccing the top) would be paid already. Heres a breakdown:

1. Tap the top, ability "draw a card, then put sensei's diving top on top of your library" goes on the stack.
2. You then sac the top, adding 2 to the mana pool.
3. Let the top ability resolve, drawing you a card. You can't put the top on top of your library because its not in play.
4. Using a white from a land and one mana you bring it to hand. You have one remaining mana in your pool.
5. Using the last mana, play the top. You can then restart everything.

I kinda like this.

Plus, it ups your storm count nicely - I'm sure there's a way of abusing that :D

With Farrelite Priest, you can funnel any mana for white. That would be a way of getting the white mana you need.
