1) Have; Woodfall Primus, a creature with GRAFT (such as Cytospawn Shambler) and a permanent that allows you to sac a creature without having to tap (such as Nim Shambler) or pay a mana cost; in play.
2)Have, in this case, Nim Shambler sac Woodfall Primus (you can regenerate a creature as many times as you want, they don't actually need to die for it).
3)Woodfall Primus goes to graveyard and COMES back INTO PLAY because of it's Persist.
4)Move a +1/+1 counter from your GRAFT creature onto Woodfall Primus as it comes back into play
5)Repeat as many times as your GRAFT creature allows it
NOTE: Gilder Bairn can substantially increase the amount of times you can do this by doubling the +1/+1 counters on your GRAFT creature and yes I'm aware this is a very mana heavy combo

Putting a +1/+1 counter on the Woodfall Primus doesn't remove the -1/-1, they would just counteract each other in most cases. Since it still HAS the counter, you can only sac it once without it going away. Also, sacrificing it would make it hit the graveyard, removing the counters.

Actually, I am cirtain if a creature has a +1/+1 and a -1/-1 on it, the two cancle each other out, thus both counters are removed. But you're right... By destroying it, it does lose the counters, so either way the combo doesn't work.

The combo works fine!
When Primus dies, he comes back with a -1/-1 counter. The graft ability puts a +1/+1 on him, canceling each other out. When Primus gets sacrificed again, he comes back because he didn't have a -1/-1 counter on him at the time.
He destroys an opponent's permanent each time he comes back. That's at least good for 8 destroyed permanents, without Gilder Bairn's ability.
Too bad you don't hit his creatures with it..

Asymtote is right. Putting a +1/+1 on a persist creature does note cancel out the -1/-1. They are two seperate types of counters so persist only works one time.

Ok, this is getting ridiculous, so allow me to quote regulation directly:
420.5n If a permanent has both a +1/+1 counter and a -1/-1 counter on it, N +1/+1 and N -1/-1 counters are removed from it, where N is the smaller of the number of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on it.

If you'd taken the time to also view the promocards explaining new rules in each booster pack, you would've also noticed that they explain just this matter.
