When playing a deck with this combo, always choose to draw first instead of play. With a starting hand including Gemstone Cavern, Simian Spirit Guide, Flash, and Protean Hulk, you get to drop the Gemstone Cavern before anyone takes a turn. In response to it coming into play, tap it for a blue mana, and discard Simian Spirit Guide for a red mana. Use these two mana to play Flash to bring Protean Hulk into play without paying it's mana cost.

The Protean Hulk is sent to the graveyard triggering it's ability to search your library for creatures with a combined power of 6 or less. Grab and put into play 4x Disciple of the Vault, 4x Phyrexian Marauder, and 4x Shifting Wall.

When the Phyrexian Marauders and Shifting Walls hit play, they die because they are 0/0 if your didn't pay for them. As each artifact goes into the graveyard, they each trigger all four of the Disciple of the Vaults. This causes 4 life loss per artifact, (4xDisciple of the Vault * 1 life loss on artifact entering graveyard) *8 artifact creatures entering the graveyard = 32 life lost.

That's it, they're dead and no one has had as much as an untap step yet. There are several cards you can add to increase your odds in this combo. But once it goes off, only way they'll win is if it isn't turn 0 anymore, so have mana to respond. A well placed stifle could really mess this up.

Uhhh, one MAJOR problem. Reread Protean Hulk. It's converted mana cost of 6, not power of 6. Sorry about all the research in vain, but that's way things go....

Ahh, so I see. However, it does not negate the combo. Disciple of the Vault has a converted mana cost of 1, Shifting Wall a converted mana cost of 0, and Phyrexian Marauder a converted mana cost of 0. So, when you grab all 12 cards, there's a total converted mana cost of 4.

Aye, this combo does work. You should understand that you can't do something 'in respone to a land coming into play', especially when they come into play before the game even starts. You can however do this combo during an opponent's upkeep or draw step which is before they have a chance to play land.

lol... unfortunately, it is commander legal (really not nice though, and it will piss players off, and result in even more banned cards for commander)

Commander? Like EDH Commander?? It's kind of legal, but very not possible since you need 4x of all those things and EDH only allows 1 of any card.

Not exactly. You could get memnites and other things like that and they'd still work lol. But seems like it'd be fun to mess with once in a while :)

Ya, you could grab memnite, but he won't die when he enters the battlefield and since you only get one disciple of the vault and maaaybe a blood artist or the like, you'd only be doing like, 2 damage in Commander lol.

if you are worried about one of your creatures not dying, use a artifact to sacrifice it for some effect
