I always liked it with Pestilence so it could be repeated and be a single color.

you couldn't repeat it with pesilence, it would die. . . use dry spell though, for the colors

Pestilence is and enchantment. Pestilence Demon is a creature and would die. I liked that combo with Pestilence also.

The enchatnment would still hit the graveyard because you have to sacrifice pestilence when there are no creatures. Unless you had a creature that was indestructible or could prevent damage, pestilence would die if you wiped the board.

It hasn't been posted since it there are so many ways to deal damage to each creature.

You almost might as well add a mark of asylum or a light of sanction at this point, because otherwise you're basically paying 4BBR for a wrath of god type effect, and you're probably better off doing that cause it would only need one card. But yeah, not every combination of Death Pits + Global Damage has to be posted or in the database.

I just use Cemetary Gates.  Protection from Black, but any card that is indestructable, doesn't take damage, etc. will do to keep Pestilence out. 

There is also a lot of cards that just deal damage to your opponent's creatures if you want a one shot.

BTW, Stuffy Doll is such a cool idea. lol

Cemetary Gate is a staple with us as well in Pestilence decks...

one of my first combos posted was death pits of rath and simoon, which is 3 colors (that work well together), but they only kill opponents creatures.

i know there have been MANY other uses for death pits... but i still couldnt believe that pyroclasm hadnt been done... i seem to get a certain sense of satisfaction in the knowledge that i can play pyroclasm and, for my play group anyway, im likely to hear "even lenny?" "it killed EVERYBODY!" hahahahahaha ahhhhhh good times

With pestilence you could always just have a low cost creature in your hand or a reassembling and 2 mana to spare. that keeps it mono black and a 1BB Wrath at instant speed.

damnation is a one shot card that costs 4 mana. yeah its hard to put down a 3 card combo but to be able to damnation for 3 mana anytime makes aggro useless. Dont know about you but i do not use black for aggro much. the control would be crazy and fairly cheap to aquire. (like >3$ compared to about 15 for a damnation).

Dont get me wrong damnation fits in with ALOT more decks but this is good for black control.
