With manabarbs on the field play circle of affliction. Now you can tap each land to deal one damage to your opponent.
It also negates the damage you would take from manabarbs.

You would still lose life if you tapped the lands for mana to spend on actual spells. But this certainly is a good way to quickly damage your opponent if you have untapped lands that you're not using. It would have to go in some sort of aggro deck.

Overabundance adds a color, but is better in that you can get more mana, allowing you to cast a spell and damage the opponent for the spell's cost as well.

Also hecatomb doesn't have the added bonus of dealing damage when an opponent taps a land for mana.

Ugh. Planeswalkers are the worst. Sure they're powerful, but they have no class. Besides, they're huge targets. I don't think i've even seen a Planeswalker actually use it's ultimate in my playgroup.
