This uses a pretty fun manipulation of the stack that the older players I'm sure are aware of. With Curio out and Gift in your hand, play Journey to Nowhere, its ETB triggers and the "exile target creature" hits the stack. In response, cast Gift, and use Curio's ability to bounce Journey back to your hand. Then, on top of the "exile target creature" thats on the stack, the "return exiled creature" hits the stack. It resolves, then upon seeing that there has been no exiled creature, it fizzles, and then the "exile target creature" resolves, exiling a creature. So essentially, you have 1WW = Exile Target Creature repeatably on your turn.

The same can be done with Parallax Tide, which will create 2UUW = Exile Five Target Lands, and Parallax Wave, reading 2WWW = Exile 5 Target Creatures.

Something very similar was posted with Parallax Tide/Wave and Claws of Gix, and there was a large discussion there and they cited rules and reasons. Here it is: http://www.mtgcombos.com/view.php?fid=2&tid=10918

Yes, this will work. You can also do it with Tidehollow Sculler and Thopter Foundry.

Assuming no mana accel, Karn doesn't get out until turn 7. You can do this turn 4. And you can do it every turn as well. Just use something like Isamaru as a cheap beatstick as you clear the field of their creatures. Besides, this is far more classy than a Planeswalker.
