At the beginning of each end step, if an opponent lost 2 or more life this turn, you may put a quest counter on this enchantment. (Damage causes loss of life.) Whenever a card is put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, if this enchantment has three or more quest counters on it, you may have that player lose 2 life. If you do, you gain 2 life.

activate blood chief, if your playing black and red not hard to do, have out lilana\\\'s caress and deal them a blightning thats like 11 damage if i counted it correctly in all. not so bad.

I already use Caress with Quest for the Nihil Stone and Mind Sludge.

thats cool but with the stone it only works as long as they no cards in hand. not easy to cast the mind sludge either. i'm sure u have hypnotic spectre in there or something like that as well.

Guul Draz Spector, Hollow Spector.  gonna put Lashwrithe in there. and tons of discard spells.

In my experience if this is going in a discard deck, blue is phenomenal. The worst part with a discard deck is when you have all these discard abilities (like from a hypnotic specter) but your opponents have no cards in hand. Not to worry, filling your decks with unsummons and vapor snags can let you destroy any targetable creature, even pesky indestructible ones. And Wistful Thinking is a lot of fun as well.

But I do really love blightning. One of my favorite commons from the Alara block, other than Wild Nacatl of course.
