Play the Thief, then enchant it with Indestructibility. Get hurt multiple times, and once the thief kicks in, play Death's Shadow. 12/12 forever

Sorry amn but I don't think it works that way. If your at one and damage is reduced to one your still going to die.

If your at 1 life and your hit with a lightning bolt, instead of going to -2 life the thief's replacement effect causes you to stay at 1 life.  the thief functions as a mini platinum angel and keeps you from dying from damage.  Others methods of losing, such as mill or life loss, will still apply as normal

Also, you could still lose from lose life... Like misery charm or something...
