why? Why make this harder? If you read the cards Mechanist, which you must not have, you would have realized that your stuff won't be destroyed as is. Darksteel forge will do you no good whatsoever. I don't know how you missed that.

I think it's a different reason, Machinist is obviously Tezzeret and he prefers artifacts...
