Squadron Hawk gives you 4 triggers for Inexorable Tide, which is nice.

I imagine most people would have all of the squadron hawks out by the time that inexorable tide gets out, but UW does have my favorite Planeswalkers so I could certainly see myself using this or a variation. Isn't there some elf that does something similar to Squadron Hawk?

No it was Llanowar Sentinels. Slightly different, but still pretty good. they don't work with Inexorable Tide since you don't cast them though, so that idea wasn't going to work. I'll think of another way to abuse Inexorable Tide though.

Squadron hawk was not the first of its kind, there were a could from onslaught and masques that do the same thing howling wolf and skyshroud sential come to mind
