Its an intresting one to try and use effectively as their life cant change either.

Though, giving some one and 8/8 just to stop them drawing is kinda like taking the keys away from someone who's turfing your lawn and giving them a colt .45 pistol in exchange.

I think i might get let them turf my lawn and shoot them with the pistol.
Or in this case just beat them with the 8/8.

Or something like Narcolepsy to keep in two colored. And if you have plenty or counterspells and discard spells (which you should since you're playing UB), you should be able to get rid of any of the cards they have in their hand. So their only real threats will be the Emperion and anything else they have in play. But since their life can't change, you'd have to have an alternate win condition, most likely something along the lines of milling your opponent. If this was a multiplayer game, nothing would amuse me more than enchanting the opponent you gave the Emperion to with Psychic Possession, then donating it to another opponent.

Yeah UB has pretty good infect cards. Blighted Agent plus an Unholy Strength or two is pretty easy to get out and protect.

Still all they need to do is hook Baded Pinions onto it or something else that gives it flying or something that gives it trample and you'll be up sh**s creek without a paddle.

@Mechanist

That's why we suggested to put pacifism or narcolepsy or some other enchantment that prevents the Emperion from attacking or blocking. And all combos are stoppable and have weaknesses, thats what makes the game fun.

True taht's why I love Magic. Every decktype wins or loses to something else keeping the game balanced.

Except Affinity. Nothing beat Affinity back in Mirrodin.

You might as well play 5 colors at that point, but its a pretty good option as well as long as your opponent isn't playing any sac engines.
