Pretty much use Tezzeret's second ability to make the relic a 5/5. You can also equip it with Bladed Pinions if you want.

is this a combo or really good synergy? Thinking it's synergy, though it is good they aren't really combining to do more than they are supposed to already

Its a combo.

Synergy is cards doing what they are suppose to do on their own while gaining a bonus to that goal from another card.

Merfolk attacking with Lord of Atlantis in play.
Goblin grenade forcing you to sac a creature.
ETC.

A Combo is a card gaining an effect it didn't have because of another card.

Dark steel relic ATTACKING. It can't do that by itself.

Having grave pact in play and then casting goblin grenade so your opponent has to sac a creature when you sac one for goblin grenade and then you do 5 points somewhere.

ETC.

Ie. Giant growth + any creature is Synergy. Gaint growth + a creature + another card that gives infect is a combo(not an ability of the creature). (Because you sorta gave giant growth infect).

With that logic any two cards are synergy. Playing 2 creatures let's you attack for more damage than with one creature. Synergy!

I was just saying that this combo was better than what I've been seeing recently.

Giant Growth and critter is not synergy.

umm, yeah.. any two (or more) cards that effect each other with out producing an effect that neither could produce alone is synergy.

Two random attacking creatures; nothing
Two attacking creatures with one of them helping the other; synergy
(battle cry comes to mind)

Synergy
noun, plural -gies.
1. combined action or functioning; synergism.
2. the cooperative action of two or more muscles, nerves, or the like.
3. the cooperative action of two or more stimuli or drugs.

I.e. Boost and existing effect; Syngery.
Create a new effect; Combo.

To be fair, that's just my opinion since i don't own the english language. I lost the bid on ebay.

ok, I just posted up something in the general forum that you guys can see and let me know what you think about a combo versus everything else.
