tap the settler to make a token creature, then tap the token and spend mana to kill opponents lands

I don't think I would waste a splinter twin on Orcish Settlers, but there are other things that'll do the same thing without giving your opponent and advantage as well. 

What is that artifact that says sacrifice 1 of each basic land when it comes into play and when it leaves play?

Sundering Titan. It'd be better if you donated that one card to your opponent that turned all of their lands into every basic land type.

i think the idea was lost here... this combo does not take your lands away, it takes your opponents lands only... and it can keep it gone the rest of the game... can use it on their turn too... where other things like sundering titan takes yours too
with the orc, you choose what lands get destroyed, not your opponent

with the flare out, it can kill 1 land per land you tap (after the first one you tap) so it is your choice on how many and when the lands are gone
