play the guard..
enchant..

Can't block flying, trample still goes through? poison counters never get placed. If you gave it some enchant that improved toughness or gave it flying (could also do that with equipment)- that's probably the best you can do for a blocker :/ Also deathtouch shouldn't work because damage is prevented :D But still, not the coolest combo in the world.

Please provide feedback/some thoughts.

i'd prefer Avatar of Hope personally, as it gives flying to it.. or use Stuffy Doll
with Pariah's Shield *,..,* (yes.. i know that will not work vs infect... but Melira, Sylvok Outcast wil help with dealing with infect :P

I prefer inviobility and wall of glare. doesn't have flying, but it's much cheaper
