This combo is simple, attach the licid to one of your opponents creatures, then use Aladdin to take over that creature, remove the licid from the creature, and do it again the next turm, or figure out a way to untap the licid

note: the last two cards are just alternatives, there is no advantage to them, except, they cost less mana.

Alladin says nothing about if it ceases to be an artifact, so you should maintain control.

Very cool, and I like the use of the licid, they are such fun creatures.  As much as I like the licid you might have better luck with thran forge.  it costs the same to cast and the ability costs the same as well, however, it makes your alternative cards more meanful since you won't lose the forge in their casting like you would the licid.

Yes, that works better, assuming, you have enough mana, to do both in the same turn.  where as with the licid, you can wait a turn.

Also:
  1. Licid on target
  2. Shattering pulse on same target
  3. Creature dies
  4. Licid finds it has an illegal target
  5. in reaction to 4, end the licid's effect

Correction

5.  since it is still an enchantment when the target becomes illegal, it goes to the grave like any other aura.  This is a state based effect so it can't be responded to.

The only way to save the licid is to remove the effect before the enchanted creature is destroyed, however, doing that will stop the creature from being an artifact, which makes it illegal for pulse, so pulse fizzles.

There is a much easier combo than Licid. Try Memnarch. No need for Licid and Aladdin when there's one card that does both. Memnarch uses more mana, but 3 Heartstones can take care of that.

First, not everyone has that card.

More importantly, that thing costs 7 mana
as oppossed to my combo which is 4 (i think)
