With the skull collector and mists in play at your upkeep both triggers occur since you control them both you get to choose the stacking order. put skulls ability first and the mists, mists will resolve so discard the hunter, Pay its madness cost and put it in play destory a creature with power over 4 (nightshade assassin will also work and destroy creatures under 4). after the hunter is in play. the skulls ability will trigger and you can return the hunter to your hand to do it again next turn, keeping the path clear for your hunter to attack.
Note: Big game hunter is not a may trigger it will destroy any non'shroud creature over 4 power, including yours.
