My favorite combo for my blue white control, play the simple circle of protection on the panoptic mirror and use Mind Bend to change the color to whatever you need. (Use Fatestitcher with Freed from the Real and Azourious Chancery for Infinite Mana) Use multiple circles in the likely event of multi color. Use the panoptic mirror if you only have one circle or one Mind Bend.

You have to pay to use the forementioned spell as versus it being free every upkeep

Couple things 1st is a biggie you are missing the word "your" on the mirror, it does not trigger on your opponents upkeep. you need the scepter to do that. Also I might be misreading what you wrote but the mirror can only imprint sorcery or instant so it can't imprint the mirror with the circle you need to imprint the mind bend.
You can also use painters servent to turn everything to the color of the cop you have
