Basically if your oppent is using a mono color deck they can just walk away.
Play douse
Mind bend douse to color opponent is using
Now counter every spell they play for only 2 mana

Oooh... I like douse. Keeps the combo in one color instead of Lifeforce or Deathgrip...

use isochron szepter for multi color decks ^^

No. Don't waste Sleight of Mind on Isochron Scepter. Imprint Counterspell on Isochron Scepter and skip the Douse all together if you are running the Scepter. Throw in Aphetto Alchemist to untap the Scepter to pay more mana to counter the spell (and we all know that Illusionist's Bracers are to be equipped to the Alchemist).
However, now we have completely moved away from this combo, which was usable for ten years before Isochron Scepter was created. IRL the posted combo still costs less to buy.
