You can't pay or the kicker off the copy, and you cant imprint the kicker. Still fun though.

its probally a good thing you can't play the kicker since the mirror triggers on your upkeep, it would be your creatures that could not attack.  I'm assuming you ment the scepter rather then mirror so you can play the chant on your opponents turn

Isochron Scepter lets you imprint a instant card with casting cost of 2 or less. You can tap it and pay to colorless to make a copy of the spell. IT is a way of reusing counterspell.
