I submitted this combo before but the database wasn't up-to-date so I'm resubmitting.

Easy idea.  Vedalken experiments on your opponent's creature and tap them.  If they don't die from -1/-1 counters then the Assassin finishes them off.

Could use Aphetto Alchemist or Fatestitcher

yes... could use fatestitcher or icy manipulator etc... but every new combo that works, is kinds cool... more combos with specific cards the better, thats how people make stupidly powerful decks (full of combos with almost everything in the deck)

Fatestitcher and Ice Manipulator both work yes, but I like this combo because the Vedalken work really well at killing things on their own and they're 1/2 so I think they're stronger than the Fatestitcher.  I'm sure others would disagree.

personally i would use master decoy. unfortunately there wouldbe no counters, but itwill just be assasinated anyways
