Well, equip that Staff onto that Braider, then pop off the sac combo to tap for their abilities as much as you want.

? i don't see a combo, you can sacrifice some giants to boost a creature, and tap the elemental guy a couple of times, but, this doesn't loop.

sac the blust to the giant, giant gets a boost, the blust persists back in when it reenters the battlefield the emergence gives it two counters, one of the counters cancels the negative one, repeat.

each time you sac the blust thornbite untaps the braider allowing you to tap it again for mana, end result inf/inf giant and unlimited mana of any color.

thougt the mana can only be used for elementals, you could put in any mana maker in place of the braider such as bird of paradise, for more freedom

"Equipped creature gets" would that not mean that the Thornbite's effect is added to Smokebraider's own effect text? Thus making it the activated ability of the equipped Elemental.
